About Tirumala
Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple stands on Venkatadri, the last of the seven peaks that give the Tirumala range its name of Saptagiri. The temple is administered by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which issues every darshan ticket directly — no travel operator can obtain them on your behalf.
Two separate ghat roads connect Tirupati to Tirumala, one for the ascent and one for the descent, which keeps the hairpin bends one-way and the traffic moving.
What you'll see
- Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple
- Sila Thoranam — the natural rock arch
- Akasaganga waterfall
- Papavinasanam
- Srivari Padalu
Good to know
- TTD issues darshan tickets in the pilgrim's own name through official channels.
- Photo ID is required at the temple for darshan.
- Darshan-morning starts before dawn are routine on this route.
