About Railway Station
Tirupati is a major junction on the South Central Railway, with direct services from Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Pilgrim traffic peaks hard around festivals and long weekends.
Most arrivals go on to a hotel in Tirupati, or straight up the ghat road to Tirumala for an early darshan slot.
